The very popular Super Production Challenge for production vehicles debuted in 2011. It has attracted large fields due to affordable racing, which, in turn, has generated close competition and captured the imagination of fans.

The Super Production Challenge gives amateur drivers a semi-professional environment sanctioned by Auto Sport Quebec. Most races last thirty to forty-five minutes.

The 2026 season consists of five race weekends.

  • May 15-17 - Canadian Tire Motorsport Park
  • May 29-31 - Mont-Tremblant Circuit
  • July 17-19 - Calabogie Motorsports Park
  • August 7-9 - Grand-Prix de Trois-Rivieres
  • September 25-27 - Mont-Tremblant Circuit

The series controls costs by limiting performance and balancing vehicle power using weight, rev limiters, intake restrictions, and other adjustments. Rules allow engine, brake, and suspension modifications. All cars must use Nankang tires.

Drivers score points in one of three classes - Super Production, Production, or Compact.

  • Super Production - Super Production - Introduced in 2019, the larger-displacement vehicles with no more than 300 horsepower compete in the Super Production group. The performance of these two-wheel-drive vehicles is monitored by GPS. Models in the category must have been produced within the past fifteen years. Common cars in this division include the Nissan 370Z, Scion FRS, Honda Civic Si, Ford Mustang, Chevrolet Camaro, and BMW M235i.
  • Production - Performance is also monitored using GPS for vehicles competing in the Production division. They are also limited to models that are 15 years of age or newer. The maximum horsepower output for these four or six-cylinder vehicles is 220. Four-cylinder engines up to two liters may be turbocharged or supercharged. Cars often found in this class include Mini Cooper S, BMW 330i, and Honda Civic Si.
  • Compact – Introduced in 2012, the Compact class is for vehicles with under 100 horsepower. These cars are GPS-monitored and follow the same product year range as the Super Production and Production categories. This group includes the Mini Cooper, Toyota Echo, Nissan Micra, and Honda Fit.

Drivers kicked off the 2026 Super Production Challenge season during the Castrol Victoria Day Speedfest weekend at Canadian Tire Motorsport Park. They collected points in three races around the ten-turn 2.459-mile road course.

The first lap of round three for the 2026 Super Production Challenge presented by Nankang at Canadian Tire Motorsport Park during the Victoria Day Speedfest. Leading the field is the pole-sitter, Jocelyn Hébert, in the No. 89 Equipe de Course 89 Acura TLX Type S. Beside Hébert is the other front row starter, Frédérick Magny, driving the No. 66 Mperformance Nissan 370Z. Behind the leaders is the No. 99 Ouellet Motorsports Honda Civic Type R of Eric Chaput.
Last season’s Super Production Challenge champion, Alexandre Fortin, launched a successful campaign to retain the title. The driver of the No. 1 Xtreme Motorsports Nissan 370Z qualified third for the weekend's first contest and battled Guillaume Labbé for the win. Later that afternoon, Fortin started sixth; despite this setback, he charged to another victory. On Sunday morning, although he was gridded further back, he once again collected the checkered flag first to sweep the Super Production class.
Another competitor making a clean sweep of the opening weekend was last year’s Compact champion, Eric Coulombe, who drives the No. 89 Chevrolet Sonic. His defense of the title became tougher when he qualified sixth in class, but he chased down and passed MaIka Chamberland for the victory. Later that day, starting closer to the front, he again passed Chamberland for the win. On Sunday morning, Coulombe earned another victory, completing a perfect weekend.
The Production category witnessed three different winners during the event. Zack Lalonde, who drives the No. 7 Fawn Group Motorsports Hyundai Veloster, qualified third fastest but claimed the victory after a hard-fought battle with Francis Fortin and Blake Kelley. In race two, Lalonde finished fourth after starting third. The next morning, his engine caught fire, resulting in a red flag and an end to the race. Despite this, Lalonde was credited with a third-place result.
The next competitor to earn a Production class victory at the Victoria Day Speedfest was Peter Hanson. He qualified fifth for round one in the No. 12 MD Autosports Subaru BRZ TCA and finished fourth. On Saturday afternoon, Hanson started third and crossed the line second, but inherited the win after Blake Kelley was penalized for passing under a yellow. In the finale, Hanson finished fourth in class.
Rookie Francis Fortin, piloting the No. 72 Maxout Creation Toyota GT86, collected a win in the Production category. In his first Super Production Challenge event, Fortin qualified second and finished as runner-up after a spirited battle with Zack Lalonde and Blake Kelley. He placed ninth in the second race. In the finale, Fortin was leading when officials ended the race due to a red flag.
Blake Kelley was the only Production category driver to finish on the podium in each of the races. Kelley drove the No. 41 Velocity Motorsports Club Honda Civic Si. He started round one on the pole but finished third after being passed by Zack Lalonde and Francis Fortin. In the next contest, Kelly was first across the finish line but penalized for passing under the yellow and relegated to a second-place finish. In the finale, he grabbed another runner-up result.
Last year, Guillaume Labbé finished second to Alexandre Fortin in the Super Production points championship. This season, he returns piloting the No. 5 Empire Motorsports Honda Civic Type R. Labbe started Saturday’s contest on the pole after the fastest qualifier, Jonathan Manseau, crashed his Toyota. Unable to hold off Fortin, he finished second. In the next race, Labbe once again finished behind the winner, Fortin. Later, after starting in sixth, he finished the event as a runner-up.
MaIka Chamberland finished second to Eric Coulombe in last season’s Compact category championship. In the first round, she took the pole in the No. 06 Chamberland Racing Honda Fit and battled with eventual winner Coulombe before finishing runner-up. That afternoon, she started first but finished behind Coulombe. In the final contest of the weekend, Chamberland started second but could not hold off Frédéric Bernier.
