In Ontario, amateur competitors race at Canadian Tire Motorsport Park, Shannonville Motorsport Park and Calabogie Motorsport Park to earn points towards the regional titles.

• August 22-23 - OSCC Calabogie Summer Classic - Calabogie Motorsport Park
• September 19-20 - BEMC Late Summer Trophy Races - Canadian Tire Motorsport Park
• October 3-4 - Celebration of Motorsport - Canadian Tire Motorsport Park

Championships are contested in the following categories:

• Pirelli Super Touring Sprints (cars running under 1.31 at CTMP) and Pirelli Grand Touring Sprints (cars running over 1.31 at CTMP) - The Touring division is for race-prepared production vehicles. The cars competing in this category are prepared to similar rules. Some of these vehicles may be constructed with a tube-frame chassis. They are grouped according to their performance (based on the bracket that a car/driver combination performs). The quickest class features cars such as the Ford Mustang and Chevrolet Corvette, while at the other end of the spectrum are vehicles such as the Honda Civic and Volkswagen Rabbit. A weekend of competition includes three races twenty-minutes in length.

• Miata Canada Cup - This is a single marque class for the Mazda Miata.

• Formula Category - These are purpose-built race cars. This is the largest category and there are a variety of regulations that govern these open-wheel cars.
  • Toyo Tires Formula 1600 Championship (F1600A and F1600B) - Utilize the four-cylinder 1600-cc Ford motor or the Honda 1.5-liter engine with older chassis competing in the B category. Drivers score points towards the Toyo Tires F1600 Championship.
  • Formula Libre is a race group that includes many classes; some of the more popular are:
    • Formula First - Utilizes Volkswagen parts but is powered by a 1600-cc air-cooled motor.
    • Formula 2000 - These winged vehicles use a 2.0-liter Ford four-cylinder power-plant.
    • Formula 4 - Is another winged class with the most liberal rules.
    • Formula Prototype Challenge Canada - This category is for the Revolution 427, Radicals and quicker open-wheel cars.
      • Radical SR3 - All generations of Radical SR3 1340 meeting factory spec build.
      • Prototype - Open - This consists of any prototype/sports racer capable of sub 1:26 lap times at CTMP.
      • Formula - Open - This class is for any Formula chassis capable of a sub 1:26 lap time at CTMP.
• Vintage Automobile Racing Association of Canada - Also competes at CASC-OR weekends and have several classes depending on the age and type of vehicle. Categories include open and closed wheel Historic/Vintage as well as Classic and Modern Classic.
  • VARAC Vintage/Historic (cars built pre-1973)
  • VARAC Classic (cars built post-1972)
  • VARAC Formula Classic (formula cars built pre-2000)
    • Club Formula Ford (Monoposto Racing compliant)
    • Formula 70 (built between 1973 up to the end of 1989)
    • Formula 90 (built between 1990 up to the end of 2005)
    • Formula Historic (built prior to 1973)
    • Formula Junior (Monoposto Racing compliant)
    • Historic Formula Vee (Monoposto Racing compliant)
    • Historic Formula Ford (Monoposto Racing compliant)
    • Formula 1200 - Uses Volkswagen components and is powered by a 1200-cc air-cooled engine. (CASC-OR/VARAC compliant)

The Spring Fling was a test and tune opportunity for teams and drivers before round one of the CASC-OR Road Race Series. The event was held on Shannonville Motorsport Park’s Pro and Long Courses. There were two groups:

• Group 1 - Closed Wheel under 2:00
• Group 2 - Closed Wheel over 2:00
