The USF Juniors presented by Continental Tire was inaugurated in 2022 as a new first rung of the Road to Indy. It was established to facilitate karters with an opportunity to transition to open-wheel competition with entry-level cars. In addition, USF Juniors provides competitors with a professionally managed series, allowing drivers, teams, and parents to focus on training and racing.

As an incentive to drivers, a prize package exceeding $328,000 is available, including a scholarship valued at $251,516 to advance to USF2000. Additional prize money and awards include the Continental Tire Pole Award for each race as well as season-ending awards for Rookie of the Year, Championship Team, Engineer of the Year, Mechanic of the Year, Hard Charger, Move of the Year, and Spirit Award.

The 2026 USF Juniors season consists of nineteen rounds at seven different racetracks.

In 2023, the series began using the Tatuus JR-23 chassis, which can be upgraded for use in both USF2000 and USF Pro 2000. The Tatuus JP-23 uses the latest developments in race car technology. The chassis is a full-carbon composite and aluminum honeycomb monocoque that meets current FIA standards, including side-impact panels, front and rear impact structures, HANS-compliant INDYCAR head restraint, front and rear wheel tethers, an upgraded front bulkhead structure for USA-specific oval racing circuits, and a Halo-type device.

All USF series cars are powered by the four-cylinder 2.0-liter Mazda MZR engine built by Elite Engines. USF2000 and USF Juniors are upgraded factory motors, identical except for restrictor plates and mapping. Power is transmitted to a Sadev SL75 transmission with an open differential. The stopping power comes from Brembo calipers with Tatuus F4 rotors and PFC pads.

All USF Juniors competitors use Continental tires, mounted on OZ Tatuus F4-style aluminum wheels: 13" x 8" front and 13" x 10" rear.

Rounds seven, eight, and nine of the 2026 USF Juniors Championship were conducted at Canadian Tire Motorsport Park. Drivers competed in three races around the ten-turn 2.459-mile road course.

Twenty USF Juniors competitors enter Canadian Tire Motorsport Park’s front straight for round seven of the championship. On the pole is the No. 25 Olivia Racing Tatuus JR-23 of Karol Pasiewicz. Beside Pasiewicz is Victor Couto driving the No. 88 Zanella Racing Tatuus JR-23. On the second row are Cole Medeiros in the No. 97 Exclusive Autosport prepared Tatuus JR-23 and the No. 23 Tatuus JR-23 of Couto’s teammate, Olivier Mrak.
The driver giving the new championship leader, Karol Pasiewicz, the most pressure this weekend was Victor Couto. Couto started second in Saturday's first contest, driving the No. 88 Zanella Racing Tatuus JR-23. He passed Pasiewicz for the lead but couldn’t hold the position and finished second. Later in the day, Couto started and finished in the runner-up spot. In the finale, he was gridded second and finished fifth. Couto’s performances during the event moved him to fifth in the points chase.

Mrak qualified fourth for the weekend’s first contest but passed Cole Medeiros to finish third. On Saturday afternoon, he started and finished third. Mrak was gridded third on Sunday morning and passed Victor Couto early. He chased down the winner, Karol Pasiewicz, but was unable to challenge.
The first lap into corner one for the final USF Juniors race of the weekend at Canadian Tire Motorsport. Getting a jump on the field is the No. 25 Olivia Racing Tatuus JR-23 of Karol Pasiewicz. Immediately behind Pasiewicz is the third-place starter, Olivier Mrak, piloting the No. 23 Zanella Racing Tatuus JR-23. Beside Mrak is the other front-row qualifier, Victor Couto, driving the No. 88 Zanella Racing Tatuus JR-23. Twenty-one drivers were entered in Sunday morning’s contest.
It was a terrible weekend for the points leader, Ivan Machado Perez. It began when he crashed the No. 10 VRD Racing Tatuus JR-23. Machado Perez qualified tenth for the event’s first contest but crashed on lap 2 and was classified with a twentieth-place result. With repairs made, Machado Perez started seventh and finished tenth in race two. On Sunday, he redeemed himself, finishing third after starting sixth. However, Machado Perez was now second in the championship.
A driver seeing his fortunes change at Canadian Tire Motorsport Park was Max Mokarem. Mokarem entered the weekend second in the title chase, but he was never a factor during the event. Mokarem was gridded twenty-first for race one, after crashing the No. 46 Zanella Racing Tatuus JR-23. He advanced to an eighteenth-place result. In the afternoon, he started nineteenth and finished eleventh. The event ended with a tenth-place finish and fourth in the standings.
