The Super Stock category includes a variety of makes and models from the '60s to the current year.
The rules used in the class allow some suspension modifications and changes to the bodies.
Some Super Stock cars retain the original steel bodies with plastic noses and fiberglass hoods;
however, most use fiberglass body panels. They are powered by a modified small-block engines or crate motors from General Motors and Ford.
The division serves as a 'stepping stone' for those drivers who aspire to compete in the Pro Late Model category.
The Flyin’ Frank 49 Super Stock Invitational was initially scheduled for the Spring Velocity weekend.
However, inclement weather forced Sunset officials to reschedule the event to August 3.
Drivers competed in a forty-nine lap contest around Sunset Speedway’s 1/3–mile banked asphalt oval.

Coltin Everingham is Sunset Speedway’s current St. Onge Super Stock points leader.
He collected his most recent victory Saturday evening.
Driving the No. 48 Gunn’s Auto Service Chevrolet Camaro, he collected first-place finishes in heat races one and three.

Finishing 0.842 seconds behind Coltin Everingham in second place was Carson Nagy.
Nagy has won the last two Dayco Super Stock Series championships.
He was entered in the No. 93 HumberviewParts.ca Chevrolet Camaro.
Nagy was the runner-up in heat one and finished fifth in the third qualifier.
He was gridded seventh for the feature. However, passes on Connor James, Anthony DiBello, and Justin Collison were rewarded with a runner-up result.

Johnny Morrison stepped aside and put Connor James behind the wheel of the No. 83 Georgian Chevrolet Buick GMC sponsored Chevrolet Camaro.
James is the points leader in this year’s Ontario Sportsman Series and is on the verge of tying the record for the most wins.
Despite his lack of familiarity with the car, James collected second and third-place results in the heats.
He started the finale in fourth and battled with the leaders to finish third.

The No. 13C London Recreational Racing Chevrolet Camaro was driven by Justin Collison.
Collison is attempting to resurrect the Super Stock division at Flamboro Speedway.
With the help of his primary sponsor, London Recreational Racing, the Steel City Rumble Series was launched.
At Sunset Speedway, Collison earned a pair of third-place results in the heat races.
He started sixth in the feature and finished in the fourth position.

The Flyin’ Frank 49 attracted Super Stock teams from across the province.
One such entry was the No. 36Z Bester Forest Products Ford Mustang driven by Lane Zardo.
Zardo is competing in the Dayco Super Stock Series and the new Steel City Rumble Series and tops the points in both championships.
He won heat race two, but the team faced issues in the finale.
Zardo pitted several times during the race and was classified with an eleventh-place result.

This weekend, Delaware, Peterborough, and Sunset Speedways hosted special events for the Mini Stock teams.
Many drivers entered all three events.
The Super Stocks also ran on three consecutive evenings - Delaware, Flamboro and Sunset. However, Brandon Edgar was the only Super Stock driver to compete at the three tracks.
Unfortunately, the No. 4D Enns Air Chevrolet Camaro lost a clutch in practice.
With repairs made, Edgar finished thirteenth.
