The inaugural Steel City Rumble Series is a five-race championship for Super Stocks at Flamboro Speedway.

A race is scheduled for each month:

  • Saturday, May 24 - 35-laps
  • Saturday, June 21 - 35-laps
  • Saturday, July 5 - Twin 25-laps
  • Saturday, August 2 - 35-laps
  • Sunday, September 6 - 40-laps

The Super Stock category includes a variety of makes and models from the '60s to the current year. The rules used in the class allow some suspension modifications and changes to the bodies. Some Super Stock cars retain the original steel bodies with plastic noses and fiberglass hoods; however, most use fiberglass body panels. They are powered by a modified small-block engines or crate motors from General Motors and Ford. The division serves as a 'stepping stone' for those drivers who aspire to compete in the Pro Late Model category.

Tire rules have been implemented to reduce expenses. Teams are limited to an inventory of four used and four new tires during the season. Also, if a driver hasn't competed in the first two races and enters a single event, they must start last.

Round four of the Steel City Rumble series was held on August 2. Drivers competed in a thirty-five lap contest around Flamboro Speedway’s 1/3-mile semi-banked asphalt oval.

Eight Steel City Rumble competitors line up on Flamboro Speedway’s back straight for round four of the championship. On the pole, courtesy of the invert, is the fourth fastest qualifier Nick Troback in the No. 73 Alexander Glass & Door Cadillac CTS. On the outside of Troback is the No. 13C London Recreational Racing Chevrolet Camaro of Justin Collison. In the second row are Roy Wilke and the fastest qualifier, Lane Zardo.
On Saturday evening, Nick Troback collected his first Steel City Rumble win. Troback is a veteran of the Super Stock category at Flamboro. However, his luck in the first three weekends of the series has been disappointing. The best result before this event was a fifth place. Troback was fourth fastest in qualifying, but the invert gave him the pole. He grabbed the lead at the start and despite pressure from Lane Zardo, he earned the victory.
Finishing just 0.001 seconds behind the winner, Nick Troback, was Lane Zardo. Zardo is the Steel City Rumble points leader with four victories.   He was the fastest qualifier, driving the No. 36Z Bester Forest Products Ford Mustang, but started fourth due to the invert.  He moved into second place early and attempted to force the leader, Boris Troback, into a mistake. Unable to make the pass, Zardo finished in second place.
Another driver earning his best Steel City Rumble result at Flamboro Speedway was Chad Corcoran.  Corcoran grabbed fourth and fifth place results in the first two rounds of the series, but skipped the third weekend of the championship. He just missed the invert and was gridded fifth in the No. 31 Chevrolet Camaro. During the race, contact between Justin Collison and Roy Wilke elevated Corcoran to third. He would hold the spot to the checker.
The top three finishers for the fourth weekend of the Steel City Rumble series at Flamboro Speedway. Enjoying his first visit as a member of the top three and doing it in style is the winner, Nick Troback. On the left is the runner-up and current points leader, Lane Zardo. Zardo also tops the standings in the Dayco Super Stock Series. The second driver to achieve his best finish of the championship is third-place finisher Chad Corcoran.
