The inaugural Steel City Rumble Series is a five-race championship for Super Stocks at Flamboro Speedway.

A race is scheduled for each month:

  • Saturday, May 24 - 35-laps
  • Saturday, June 21 - 35-laps
  • Saturday, July 5 - Twin 25-las
  • Saturday, August 2 - 35-laps
  • Sunday, September 6 - 40-laps

The Super Stock category includes a variety of makes and models from the '60s to the current year. The rules used in the class allow some suspension modifications and changes to the bodies. Some Super Stock cars retain the original steel bodies with plastic noses and fiberglass hoods; however, most use fiberglass body panels. They are powered by a modified small-block engines or crate motors from General Motors and Ford. The division serves as a 'stepping stone' for those drivers who aspire to compete in the Pro Late Model category.

Tire rules have been implemented to reduce expenses. Teams are limited to an inventory of four used and four new tires during the season. Also, if a driver hasn't competed in the first two races and enters a single event, they must start last.

Round two of the Steel City Rumble Series for Super Stocks was held at Flamboro Speedway on June 21. Drivers competed in a thirty-five-lap contest around the 1/3-mile semi-banked asphalt oval.

Ten Steel City Rumble Series competitors line up on Flamboro Speedway’s back straight for round two of the championship. After the redraw, the third fastest qualifier, Justin Collison, found himself on the pole in the No. 13 London Recreational Racing Chevrolet Camaro. Beside Collision is the No. 36Z Bester Forest Products Ford Mustang of the points leader, Lane Zardo. In row two is the fastest qualifier, Roy Wilke, and Nick Troback.
On Saturday evening, Lane Zardo went two for two in the Steel City Rumble Series. Zardo qualified second fastest in the No. 36Z Bester Forest Products Ford Mustang and started on the outside of the front row. He trailed the pole-sitter, Justin Collison until Collison stopped on course after losing the fuel cap. Zardo assumed the lead on the restart and held off a hard-charging Bailey Jacobs to win by a margin of 0.557 seconds.
Finishing in the runner-up position for the second consecutive Steel City Rumble event was Bailey Jacobs. During the time trials, Jacobs recorded the fifth fastest time driving the No. 60 Chemong Home Solutions Chevrolet Camaro. During the thirty-five-lap contest, he passed Nick Troback and the quickest qualifier, Roy Wilkie. When Collison lost his gas cap and had to move to the rear for the restart, Jacobs inherited a position and finished second.
In the series debut, the championship organizer, Justin Collison, was knocked out of the race. The No. 13 London Recreational Racing Chevrolet Camaro was repaired for round two and Collison qualified third but started on the pole after the inversion. He jumped into a comfortable lead until he lost the fuel cap. Collison was gridded at the rear of the field for the restart but sliced his way to the front for a third-place finish.
