The Ontario Outlaw Super Late Model Series was formed at the end of the 2017 season by promoters
from Peterborough Speedway, Sauble Speedway, Jukasa Motor Speedway, Flamboro Speedway, and Sunset Speedway.
They aimed to grow Ontario's fastest full-body stock car shows by ensuring that the Super Late Models are
prepared according to a consistent set of rules, there aren't scheduling conflicts, and healthy purses to attract competitors.
This year's championship kicks off in June at Sunset Speedway and ends nine rounds later on October 4 at Flamboro Speedway.
- June 7 - Sunset Speedway
- June 14 - Flamboro Speedway
- June 28 - Sunset Speedway
- July 12 - Peterborough Speedway
- July 19 - Sauble Speedway
- August 1 - Delaware Speedway
- August 5 - Flamboro Speedway (Gold Rush 125)
- September 20 - Sunset Speedway
- October 4 - Flamboro Speedway
The Ontario Outlaw Super Late Models are prepared to a minimal set of guidelines.
Some requirements include a minimum wheelbase of 102 inches and ten-inch wide steel wheels.
The maximum allowable track width is 82 inches. Carburetors are limited to 850 cfm (no fuel injection).
There are several engine choices:
- Cars with a crate engine must weigh no less than 2,600 lbs.
- Outlaw Super Late Models using a built motor with cast iron heads are required to weigh no less than 2,650 lbs.
- Vehicles with built motors fitted with aluminum heads have a minimum weight of 2,725 lbs.
Cars are weighed with the driver, and the distribution on the left side must not exceed 60%.
All competitors race on Hoosier Tires.
Round seven of the Ontario Outlaw Super Late Model series was held during Flamboro Speedway's Gold Rush 125.
Drivers competed in a 125-lap contest around Flamboro's 1/3-mile semi-banked asphalt oval.

Seventeen Outlaw Super Late Models round Flamboro Speedway's corner two for the Gold Rush 125.
On the pole is the No. 52 Pride Seeds sponsored machine of Jake Sheridan.
Beside Sheridan is the fastest qualifier, Shawn Chenoweth, in the No. 89C London Recreational Racing Outlaw Super Late Model.
In row two is the defending Ontario Outlaw Super Late Model champion, JR Fitzpatrick and last year's Gold Rush runner-up, Blake Childers.

Shawn Chenoweth is a busy man this year.
In addition to the Ontario Outlaw Super Late Model championship, he is participating in the Dayco Super Stock and APC United Late Model Series.
Earlier in the season, Chenoweth won $10,000 in an Outlaw Late Model event at Sunset Speedway.
He started on the pole in both halves of the Gold Rush 125.
Despite pressure from Blake Childers, Chenoweth held on for the victory and $15,000 payday.

American Blake Childers returned to Flamboro Speedway, attempting to go one better than last year's runner-up result in the Gold Rush 124.
Childers drives the No. 10 Wheeler Trucking Outlaw Super Late Model.
During the qualifying session, he was fourth fastest. In the first twenty laps of the race, Childers slipped to fifth.
But he charged forward, challenging the winner Shawn Chenoweth before settling for the second-place finish.

Last year's Ontario Outlaw Super Late Model title holder, JR Fitzpatrick, drives the No. 84 Klotz Auto & Engine Machine Shop car.
This season, he's collected series victories at Flamboro and Peterborough Speedways.
The two-time APC United Late Model champion qualified third fastest for the Gold Rush 125.
On the race's first restart, Fitzpatrick passed Jake Sheridan for second. Unable to hold off Blake Childers, he finished third.

The Gold Rush 125 included a mandatory yellow flag pit stop, which was scheduled between laps sixty and sixty-five to allow for refueling.
Teams were not allowed to perform any adjustments, including tire pressures.
Drivers returned to the track for the second half in the order they received the yellow.
On the pole is the race leader, Shawn Chenoweth, in the No. 89C London Recreational Racing car.
Beside him is the No. 10 Wheeler Trucking machine of Blake Childers.

APC United Late Model title contender Jake Sheridan debuted the No. 52 Pride Seeds Outlaw Super Late Model just five days earlier in round six.
Despite a persistent engine miss, Sheridan qualified on the pole and led from start to finish. With the engine issue unresolved, he qualified second fastest.
Sheridan started on the pole after a fan rolled a dice for an invert of two.
Unable to hold off Blake Childers and JR Fitzpatrick, Sheridan finished fourth.

JR Fitzpatrick worked with Passer Racing to make a car available for the current APC United Late Model points leader, Josh Stade.
Stade and his team tested the No. 17 Passer Racing Outlaw Super Late Model before entering the Gold Rush 125.
Stade qualified eighth fastest in the seventeen-car field.
Unfortunately, the engine expired on lap 22. He was the first retiree and classified with a sixteenth-place result.

Bobby Blount Motorsports brought two cars to the Gold Rush 125.
One of the machines was for last year's winner, Kyle Crump, and a second for the 2023 NASCAR Champion, Treyton Lapcevich.
During qualifying, Crump was fifth fastest and Lapcevich was seventh quickest.
Unfortunately, Crump was not allowed to start the race as a throttle linkage issue prevented him from taking the Starter's flag. Lapcevich finished tenth.
