Now in its thirty-fifth year, the Ontario Stock Car Association of Asphalt Racers (OSCAAR) is responsible for sanctioning two divisions: Modified and Hot Rod.

On November 1, 2022, it was announced that OSCAAR had merged with the United Racing Series. The relationship increases OSCAAR's resources and allows the United Racing Series to expand its brand and footprint in motorsports.

During the off-season Overkill Enterprises replaced Just Foam It as the title sponsor for the OSCAAR Modifieds.

There are eight races on the 2025 Overkill Enterprises OSCAAR Modified schedule.

  • May 31 - Flamboro Speedway
  • June 28 - Delaware Speedway
  • July 12 - Full Throttle Motor Speedway
  • July 26 - Peterborough Speedway
  • August 16 - Sauble Speedway
  • September 27 - Delaware Speedway
  • October 4 - Flamboro Speedway
  • October 10 - Peterborough Speedway

The cars competing in this class are purpose-built open-wheel vehicles. The Modifieds use a steel tube frame chassis, which is no less than 1-3/4-inch outside diameter with 0.095-inch wall thickness. Bodies are made of sheet metal, with the driver s compartment and engine bay covered. The cars may be any make or model, but they tend to have little to no resemblance to their road-going counterparts.

The engine option selected by the car owner determines the weight of the vehicle. A Modified using 350-horsepower Crate Engine is the lightest at 2,600 pounds and 2,775 pounds is required for a car powered by a Built Motor. Weight may be added or removed depending on the choice of transmission.

Many of the other rules governing the OSCAAR Modified class are for driver safety and to keep costs down.

The final round of the 2025 Overkill Enterprises OSCAAR Modified series was held at Peterborough Speedway during the 32nd Annual B&G Towing and Recovery Autumn Colours Classic. Modified drivers competed in a fifty-lap contest around 'Canada's Toughest 1/3 Mile.'

Ten Overkill Enterprises OSCAAR Modified series drivers prepare to enter Peterborough Speedway's front straight for the start of their final race of the season. There were a couple of false starts before the contest got underway. On the pole is the No. 16 London Recreational Racing Modified of Amanda Balson. Beside Balson is Wally Wilson in the No. 69 The Fyre Place Modified. Immediately, behind the leaders are Max Byore and TJ Edwards.
Max Beyore crossed the finish line second, but after the post-race technical inspections were completed, he was declared the winner.  Driving the No. 91 JCL Graphics-sponsored Modified, he won heat two and finished second in heat four. In the closing stages of the contest, Beyore closed on Amanda Balson but was unable to make the pass.   However, it didn't matter as Balson was disqualified and Beyore was awarded the victory.
With the disqualification of Amanda Balson, TJ Edwards inherited a runner-up result. Edwards sold his championship-winning Modified to Balson and has been focused on the Ontario Outlaw Super Late Model series this season. However, last year's OSCAAR title holder recently appeared with the No. 34 Overkill Enterprises Modified and has been fast. During the feature, Edwards made a couple of attempts to pass for the lead but was unsuccessful.
Another driver moving up the finishing order as a result of Amanda Balson's disqualification was Jason Keen. Keen was the 2023 Overkill Enterprises OSCAAR Modified title holder, driving the No. 18 Oakville Auto and Diesel Modified. His weekend was eventful, as he had contact with Balson in the first heat and with TJ Edwards during the feature. Keen lined up fifth for the fifty-lap finale. He was unable to manage the pace of the leaders and received the checkered flag in fourth place.
It has been a busy season for Wally Wilson. He has competed in three different Modified series. Wilson finished fourth in Delaware Speedway's Epic Racewear Modified Series. He won the Seaton Structures Modified championship at Sunset Speedway. Wilson's OSCAAR year ended in a plume of smoke on lap 21 at Peterborough Speedway. During the first six rounds of the Overkill Enterprises series, he collected enough points to finish fifth in the final standings.
Amanda Balson led all fifty laps of the Overkill Enterprises OSCAAR Modified feature at Peterborough Speedway. Unfortunately, her car failed the post-race technical inspection and was disqualified. Apparently, she was using a 7,000-rpm rev limiter chip and OSCAAR rules stipulate that the chip must not exceed 6,800 rpm. However, in a display of sportsmanship, the winner, Max Beyore, gave her the first-place trophy.
