Now in its thirty-fifth year, the Ontario Stock Car Association of Asphalt Racers (OSCAAR) is responsible for sanctioning two divisions: Modified and Hot Rod.

On November 1, 2022, it was announced that OSCAAR had merged with the United Racing Series. The relationship increases OSCAAR's resources and allows the United Racing Series to expand its brand and footprint in motorsports.

During the off-season Overkill Enterprises replaced Just Foam It as the title sponsor for the OSCAAR Modifieds.

There are eight races on the 2025 Overkill Enterprises OSCAAR Modified schedule.

  • May 31 - Flamboro Speedway
  • June 28 - Delaware Speedway
  • July 12 - Full Throttle Motor Speedway
  • July 26 - Peterborough Speedway
  • August 16 - Sauble Speedway
  • September 27 - Delaware Speedway
  • October 4 - Flamboro Speedway
  • October 10 - Peterborough Speedway

The cars competing in this class are purpose-built open-wheel vehicles. The Modifieds use a steel tube frame chassis, which is no less than 1-3/4-inch outside diameter with 0.095-inch wall thickness. Bodies are made of sheet metal, with the driver s compartment and engine bay covered. The cars may be any make or model, but they tend to have little to no resemblance to their road-going counterparts.

The engine option selected by the car owner determines the weight of the vehicle. A Modified using 350-horsepower Crate Engine is the lightest at 2,600 pounds and 2,775 pounds is required for a car powered by a Built Motor. Weight may be added or removed depending on the choice of transmission.

Many of the other rules governing the OSCAAR Modified class are for driver safety and to keep costs down.

The second round of the Overkill Enterprises OSCAAR Modified series was held at Delaware Speedway during the track’s Canada Day Weekend event. Drivers competed in a thirty-lap contest around the half-mile semi-banked asphalt oval.

The pole-sitter, Wally Wilson, in the No. 69 The Fyre Place Modified, paces a field of nine starters in round two of the Overkill Enterprises OSCAAR Modified series at Delaware Speedway. Alongside Wilson is the No. 51 Scott Reinhart Trailers Sales-sponsored Modified, driven by Dale Reinhart. Behind the leaders in row two are Ryan Dick in the No. 88 Darrell Dick Excavating Modified and the No. 46 519 Tint Modified of Steve Trendell.
Local competitor Jamie Cox is proving to be unbeatable in any Modified division at Delaware Speedway. The evening before Overkill Enterprises OSCAAR event, the track held the season’s first EPIC Racewear Modified race, and Cox collected the win driving the No. 3 APC / CANUSA Modified. The next day, he was quickest in practice and won his heat. Cox started sixth in the feature but was in the lead by lap 8 and never relinquished first place.
Dale Reinhart has participated in the Overkill Enterprises OSCAAR Modified series since 2016 and has three victories. He pilots the No. 51 Scott Reinhart Trailers Sales Modified and finished fifth in round one at Flamboro Speedway.  At Delaware, Reinhart competed in the second heat and was the runner-up to Jamie Cox. He started the feature on the outside of the front row. Reinhart led until lap 8 when he was passed by the winner, Jamie Cox.
In his fifth season of the Overkill Enterprises OSCAAR Modified series, Steve Trendell came within two laps of capturing his first victory in round one at Flamboro Speedway. He was well off the pace during the first practice session at Delaware Speedway. However, the No. 46 519 Tint Modified was ready for the heat race, allowing Trendell to finish second. He started the feature in the fourth position and was third at the checkered flag.
OSCAAR Overkill Modified regular Wally Wilson also took advantage of the Delaware’s EPIC Racewear Modified race to gain some valuable track time. On Friday evening, Wilson finished second to Jamie Cox. The next day, he finished fourth in the heat driving the No. 69 The Fyre Place Modified and was gridded on the pole for the feature. Unable to maintain the pace set by Cox, Dale Reinhart and Steve Trendell, Wilson finished fourth.
The top three finishers for round two of the Overkill Enterprises OSCAAR Modified series, during the Canada Day Weekend event, at Delaware Speedway. In the center is the winner, Jamie Cox. Despite his limited participation in the championship, this was his fourth victory. Standing on the left is the runner-up, Dale Reinhart. Completing the top three is Steve Trendell, who finished second in the first race of the season.
