The Great Lakes Super Sprint is for open-wheel, tube-frame vehicles that compete on dirt. They have a high power-to-weight ratio and are limited to a fuel-injected 360-cu.in. V8 engine. Strict rules only permit the use of steel blocks equipped with specified cylinder heads from General Motors, Ford, or Mopar. The motor produces approximately 700 horsepower.

Power from the engine is transferred through an in-or-out gearbox. As a result, the cars are not equipped with a starter motor and require a push to start.

The chassis rules are simple. They must be a four-post design and cannot use chassis or suspension cockpit adjustable devices. Brakes are limited to steel, aluminum or titanium rotors. Spec Hoosier Tires are mounted on eighteen-inch-wide wheels on the right rear and left rear; wheels must not exceed fifteen inches.

All cars compete on Hoosier tires.

The Great Lakes Super Sprint Series competes on dirt tracks in Northwestern Ohio, Northern Indiana, Southern Michigan, and Southern Ontario. Drivers in the series can collect points in the Master, Ohio and Michigan divisions.

The Great Lakes Super Sprint season starts in April and ends thirty-seven races later in September.

The Great Lakes Super Sprints made their second stop of 2025 at Ohsweken Speedway on August 22. Drivers competed in a twenty-five-lap A-Main around the 3/8 mile clay oval during the Ontario Agra and Charles Jones Industrial event.

The front row was initially made up of Darren Dryden and Liam Martin. However, the officials did not like Dryden’s start and moved him to the third position for the twenty-five-lap contest. Martin inherited the pole in the No. 9 Quest Marine Sprint Car and had the responsibility of pacing the twenty-four-car field. As a result of resetting the line-up, Nick Sheridan, driving the No. 45 Vibrent Farms / Pride Seeds car, moved into the second spot.
Darren Dryden travelled to Eldora Speedway in early August for the twenty-fifth round of the Great Lakes Super Sprint series. Dryden nearly grabbed the win, but a late race pass by Scotty Thiel relegated him to a runner-up result. With the series making its second stop at Ohsweken, Darren Dryden would have an opportunity to redeem himself. Dryden started third in the Humberview.ca Sprint Car and jumped into the lead on lap six for the victory.
Dylan Westbrook has an impressive record at Ohsweken Speedway. He has four 360 Sprint Car titles, with the most recent last year. Westbrook also has the most A-Main wins at forty-eight.   The driver of the No. 47X Stys Tree Service / Auckland Insurance Sprint Car was entered in Heat 3 and started and finished second. Westbrook lined up fifth for the feature. He was third with six laps to go and passed Nick Sheridan for a runner-up finish.
The driver of the No. 45 Vibrent Farms / Pride Seeds Sprint Car, Nick Sheridan, completed the top three finishers.  Sheridan is currently second in the Kool Kids Corr Pak Sprints standings. At the Great Lakes Super Sprint event, he won Heat 3 and was initially gridded fourth for the A-Main. However, Sheridan moved to the front row when Darren Dryden was penalized. He ran second for much of the race until he was passed by Dylan Westbrook.
The highest placed Great Lakes Super Sprints regular was Dustin Daggett. Daggett drives the No. 85 Daggett Racing Sprint Car and is third in the championship standings. He participated in Heat 1 and started and finished in fourth place. Daggett was gridded in tenth position for the A-Main and advanced four places to finish sixth. The series point’s leader, Max Stambaugh, started and finished in the eighth spot.
The top three finishers for round thirty of the Great Lakes Super Sprints series. Standing in the center is the winner, Darren Dryden. The victory provided some redemption for Dryden and his team, as he had almost captured a first-place finish at Eldora Speedway earlier in the month. On the right is the runner-up, Dylan Westbrook. Westbrook currently leads Ohsweken’s Sprint Car championship. Nick Sheridan, the third-place finisher, completed the pad.
