In 2021, FEL (Franczak Enterprises Ltd.), an automotive learning and promotion company, expanded its presence in Canadian motorsports.

FEL saw an opportunity to revitalize and reinvest in Canadian car racing. FEL’s foray into the 2017 Toyo Tires F1600 Series as a featured sponsor resulted in fields growing from twelve to fifteen entries to over thirty cars in just three years.

Emzone Radical Cup Canada drivers compete in two contests each race weekend.

  • May 16-18 - Canadian Tire Motorsport Park
  • July 18-20 - Honda Indy Toronto
  • July 25-27 - Calabogie Motorsport Park
  • August 8-10 - Grand Prix de Trois-Rivieres
  • August 29-31- Canadian Tire Motorsport Park

The Emzone Radical Cup Canada series cars are built by the British manufacturer, Radical Sportscars. The company was founded by Mick Hyde and Phil Abbott in 1997. The early vehicles were road legal but were more popular as race cars. The Radicals used in the series are the SR3 model powered by an RPE - Suzuki four-cylinder Double Overhead Camshaft engine with a displacement of 1340-cc, which produces 170-rear wheel horsepower. The chassis is a space frame design with double wishbones, coil springs, adjustable shock absorbers, and roll bars. Stopping the SR3 are four-piston calipers front and rear with vented rotors. The Radicals use cast aluminum wheels fitted with 200/580/R15 tires on the front and 265/605/R16 on the rear.

Introduced last season was the Masters category for drivers 40-year of age and older. The class has a separate Masters championship.

The final rounds of the 2025 Emzone Radical Cup Canada were held at Canadian Tire Motorsport Park during the Labour Day Weekend Sprints. Drivers would compete in two forty-minute contests around the ten-turn 2.459-mile road course.

Fifteen Emzone Radical Cup Canada competitors enter Canadian Tire Motorsport Park’s final turn for the start of the weekend’s first forty-minute race. On the pole is the No. 55 City Core Mechanical Radical SR3 XX of Cayden Goodridge. On the outside of Goodridge is Brady Clapham driving the No. 77 Emzone Radical SR3 XX. In row two is the No. 12 Pacific Paving Radical SR3 XX of Francesco Esposito and Masters class driver Daniel Earle.
Brady Clapham, driving the No. 77 Emzone Radical SR3 XX, qualified second for the weekend’s first contest. Clapham trailed Cayden Goodridge until late in the race, when he moved into the lead for the victory. On Sunday, Clapham was gridded second but crossed the finish line first.  Despite his success in the final weekend and seven wins during the season, he could not overcome missing the Calabogie event and finished second in the championship.
Daniel Earle was the fastest competitor in the Masters category and started Saturday’s race in the fourth position. On the opening lap, he had a big moment in the No. 39 Radical SR3 XX and barely avoided the outside wall between turns nine and ten. Back under control, Earle charged to the front and grabbed the class win. The next day, he collected another victory. Unfortunately, during the season, Earle failed to collect points at two events and finished fourth in the Masters final standings.
The first lap for the final round of the 2025 Emzone Radical Cup Canada series, and fifteen competitors charge into Canadian Tire Motorsport Park’s corner one. Pole-sitter Cayden Goodridge, driving the No. 55 City Core Mechanical Radical SR3 XX, and Brady Clapham, in the No. 77 Emzone Radical SR3 XX, battle wheel-to-wheel. Trailing the leaders are the Radical SR3 XXs of Francesco Esposito and Daniel Earle.
2025 was Steven Wistuba’s first year of racing. He drove the No. 99 europarts.ca sponsored Radical SR3 XX and competed in the Masters division. In the final weekend of the Emzone Radical Cup Canada, Wistuba collected a pair of runner-up results. During the season, he earned five podium results, of which one was a victory at the Grand Prix de Trois-Rivieres. Wistuba’s consistency throughout the year earned him the Masters championship.
Returning from last season is John Painter in the No. 9 RooSpeed Racing Radical SR3 XX. Cayden Goodridge started on the pole both days in the No. 55 City Core Mechanical Radical SR3 XX. However, he was unable to hold off Brady Clapham and earned runner-up results on Saturday and Sunday. During 2025, Goodridge collected four second-place finishes. Unfortunately, he failed to score any points in race two at the Toronto Indy and missed the following two events at Calabogie and Trois-Rivieres. Goodridge finished sixth in the final standings.
The 2024 Emzone Radical Cup Canada champion was Kenny Riedmann. His plans for 2025 were just a couple of races in the series. However, TWOth Autosport contacted Riedmann about joining the team to help with the development of their cars. Each race weekend, his services were required, and he collected three victories and enough points to earn his second consecutive title by a margin of six points over Brady Clapham.
Cedric Ohayon led the Masters division entering the final weekend of the 2025 Emzone Radical Cup series. Ohayon’s rivals for the title were Steven Wistuba and John Painter. Ohayon drove the No. 44 Lima Racing Pantry Lot Radical SR3 XX. In Saturday’s race, he finished fifth in class, which caused his twenty-one-point lead over Wistuba to shrink to eight markers. The next day, Ohayon finished sixth after contact with John Painter and lost the title by seven points.
