The Strickland's Crate Sprint Cars Series is for open-wheel tube-frame dirt vehicles. These Sprint Cars are powered by spec engines. Teams must use one of two GM Circle Track Crate Engines: part #88869602 or part #19258602. The motors have a Holley carburetor fitted on a 350-cu.in. V8 engine, which produces 350 horsepower @ 5,400 rpm. Power from the engine is transferred through an in-or-out gearbox. As a result, the cars are not equipped with a starter motor and require a push to start.

The chassis rules are simple. They must be a four-post design and cannot use chassis or suspension cockpit adjustable devices. Brakes are limited to steel or aluminum rotors. Spec Hoosier Tires are mounted on eighteen-inch-wide wheels on the right and left rear; wheels must not exceed fifteen inches.

After a race, this competitive package must weigh at least 1,600 pounds (with the driver and no fuel).

The fourteenth round of the Strickland's Crate Sprint Cars Series was held during the Ontario Agra and Charles Jones Industrial event. Drivers competed in a twenty-lap A-Main around Ohsweken Speedway's 3/8 mile clay oval.

The pace lap and twenty-eight Strickland's Crate Sprint Car competitors enter corner two for round fourteen of the championship at Ohsweken Speedway. On the pole is the No. 74 Radioshuttle Crate Sprint driven by Rob Neely. Neely would lose the top spot and finish a lap behind the leaders in thirteenth place. Beside Neely is Andrew Hennessy in the No. 87 Tri County Lift Truck car, who finished in the fifth spot.
The Strickland's Crate Sprint Cars Series points leader, Jacob Dykstra, added to his tally on Friday night at Ohsweken Speedway. The driver of the No. 5D Buxton Speedway Crate Sprint won the second Heat Race and lined up fourth for the A-Main. Not showing the effects of a recent motor vehicle accident, Dykstra jumped into the lead before the end of lap 1. He would cross the finish line in first place for his seventh victory of the season.
Finishing in the runner-up position and 1.823 seconds behind the winner, Jacob Dykstra, was Eric Gledhill. Gledhill piloted the No. 14 Tate's Automotive / Oak Wood Transport Crate Sprint. This year, he has competed in the Crate Sprint and Sprint Car divisions. Like Dykstra, Gledhill won his Heat Race. He was gridded in the eighth position for the A-Main. During the race, Gledhill advanced from sixth place to finish second.
Jesse Costa is one of the top Crate Sprint competitors at Ohsweken Speedway and is currently ranked second in all-time division wins with a total of thirteen. Costa is second in this season's Strickland's Crate Sprint Cars Series points chase, driving the No. 52 DNO Towing Crate Sprint. He was entered in Heat Race 3 and collected the victory. Costa started the twenty-lap A-Main in the fifth position and was third at the checkered flag.
Brett Stratford is the defending Strickland's Crate Sprint Cars Series champion. Stratford is third in this year's points chase with three victories and drives the No. BS39 Powless Brothers Racing Crate Sprint. He competed in Heat Race 2 and finished in second place. Stratford was gridded in the sixth position for the feature. By lap 3, he had moved to second but lost positions to Eric Gledhill and Jesse Costa to finish fourth.
