2025 marks the eleventh season of the very successful United Racing Series.

The 2025 APC United Late Model championship kicks off on the Victoria Day weekend at Sunset Speedway with a race called the Dayco 100. In early June, the teams make the first of two stops at Flamboro Speedway. In the middle of June, the Spectra Premium 100 is held at Peterborough Speedway. On the Canada Day weekend, drivers compete at Delaware Speedway in the AC Delco 100. The next race sees the championship make its final appearance at Flamboro Speedway for the London Recreational Racing 100. The Mid-Summer Classic 100 is conducted in early August at Sauble Speedway. Teams return to Sauble for round seven, called the Stewarts & Kubota 100. The penultimate event of 2025 is at Sunset Speedway during the Labour Day Weekend. Titles are determined on September 27 at Delaware Speedway during the Castrol Great Canadian 300.

The series rules remain unchanged from last season, with the cars constructed to specifications and controls common to most stock car series. The chassis is a tube frame covered with fiberglass bodies. Depending on the engine choice, a car can weigh as much as 2800 lbs. Crate motors from General Motors (GM 604 & GM 602) and Ford (347) are used in the series. Competitors use a spec tire from American Racer and Bilstein A2 shock absorbers to regulate expenses. There are also rules restricting the options for transmissions, ignition components, body material, brakes, etc.

To determine the starting order of the race, drivers participate in a qualifying session. The five fastest qualifiers selected starting positions one through five during a random draw. Before each race, the cars receive a technical inspection and are impounded until the start of the event.

A new restart procedure was introduced in 2023 by series officials for the APC United Late Model and Dayco Super Stock divisions called the 'choose rule.' On restarts, competitors are allowed to choose their lane. Their selection may be determined by the condition of the track, how many cars are ahead of them, or the handling of their vehicle. If a driver changes their choice after the designated 'choose spot,' they must start from the rear of the field.

The NTN BCA Bearings Triple Crown is returning for this season. The three marquee events are held June 7 at Flamboro Speedway, August 30 at Sunset Speedway, and September 27 at Delaware Speedway. The three-race mini-series has a prize fund of $15,000. First place pays $3,500, second $2,500, third $2,000, and fourth through tenth $1,000.

Eighteen teams participated in round four of the 2025 APC United Late Model Championship for Pro Late Models at Delaware Speedway during the track’s Canada Day Weekend event.  Drivers competed in the one-hundred-lap AC Delco 100 in memory of Ivor Jones.

Eighteen APC United Late Model competitors line up on Delaware Speedway’s back straight for the AC Delco 100 in memory of Ivor Jones. On the pole is the No. 19 Domus Developments Chevrolet Camaro driven by Connor Pritiko. Beside Pritiko in the No. 22 APC Auto Parts Centres Ford Mustang is the reigning series champion, Kyle Steckly. In row two are the Chevrolets of Jo Lawrence and Shae Gemmell.
Connor Pritiko ended 2024 by winning the prestigious Castrol 300 at Delaware. However, the start of this season has not been as kind to the driver of the No. 19 Domus Developments Chevrolet Camaro. A mechanical issue forced him to retire at Flamboro and he was well down the points order before the team arrived at Delaware. Pritiko started on the pole but chased Kyle Steckly before moving into the lead on the final lap.
Kyle Steckly is the 2023-24 APC champion, but he is unlikely to make it a ‘hat trick’ as he is spending time competing in additional series. He was uncompetitive in the first race at Sunset and did not enter Peterborough; however, he won at Flamboro. Steckly was the fastest qualifier at Delaware and started on the front row. He led ninety-nine laps, but on the final circuit, Connor Pritiko got underneath him and pushed him up the track, resulting in a second-place finish.
The AC Delco 100, in memory of Ivor Jones, was an eventful race for Shae Gemmell. Gemmell started fourth in the No. 3 APC Auto Parts Centres Chevrolet SS. He passed Connor Pritiko early in the contest and ran as high as second. During a late race restart, the field got ‘stacked up’ and Gemmell was spun by Cole Quinton.  Forced to the rear, he began his charge to the front from thirteenth place to finish third at the checkered flag.
Taylor Holdaway has demonstrated some speed this season, but has been plagued by mechanical issues and on-track incidents. At Delaware Speedway, it didn’t appear that the driver of the No. 41 Holdaway Automotive Chevrolet SS would be a factor in the AC Delco as he qualified twelfth out of eighteen entries. Holdaway avoided much of the drama during the race and advanced eight positions to earn a fourth-place result.
The points leader entering round four of the APC United Late Model series is Josh Stade. Stade won the opening round at Sunset Speedway and has finished no worse than fifth this season. At Delaware Speedway, he was gridded sixth in the No. 17 Canada Clean Fuels Toyota Camry. Stade ran a clean race while his main rivals for the championship, Dale Shaw and Jake Sheridan, encountered problems. He finished fifth and retains the points lead.
Junior Farrelly opened his 2025 APC United Late Model campaign with a fourth-place result after starting in the twelfth position.  At Flamboro Speedway, the No. 72 Berne Apparel Chevrolet SS finished a disappointing twelfth. Farrelly bounced back with a seventh-place finish at Peterborough Speedway. He started round four in the tenth position and crossed the finish line in sixth. Farrelly currently sits fifth in the title chase.
The top three finishers at Delaware Speedway’s AC Delco 100 in memory of Ivor Jones. In the center is the winner of round four of the 2025 APC United Late Model series, Connor Pritiko. Delaware is Pritiko’s home track and he also put his knowledge to use in capturing last season’s Castrol 300. Standing on the right is the runner-up, Kyle Steckly, who led all but one lap. Finishing third and moving second in the standings is Shae Gemmell.
