In 2020, arrangements were made for the popular Super Stock division to compete as a support event at three APC United Late Model Series rounds. Contests were conducted at Sauble Speedway and Sunset Speedway, with the finale at Jukasa Motor Speedway. In 2021, the class received backing from Qwick Wick Fire Starters for the inaugural five-race championship. This year Dayco Belts and Hoses has replace Qwick Wick as the series primary sponsor.

There are five Dayco Super Stock Series events this season.

  • Saturday, June 15 - Peterborough Speedway
  • Friday, June 28 - Delaware Speedway
  • Saturday, July 13 - Flamboro Speedway
  • Saturday, August 10 - Sunset Speedway
  • Friday, September 6 - Delaware Speedway

The Super Stock category includes a variety of makes and models from the ‘60s to the current year. The rules used in the class allow some suspension modifications and changes to the bodies. Some Super Stock cars retain the original steel bodies with plastic noses and fiberglass hoods; however, most use fiberglass body panels. They are powered by a modified small-block engines or crate motors from General Motors and Ford. The division serves as a ‘stepping stone’ for those drivers who aspire to compete in the Pro Late Model category.

A new restart procedure was introduced last year by series officials for the APC United Late Model and Dayco Super Stock divisions called the 'choose rule.' On restarts, competitors are allowed to choose their lane. Their selection may be determined by the condition of the track, how many cars are ahead of them or the handling of their vehicle. If a driver changes their choice after the designated 'choose spot,' they must start from the rear of the field.

The fourth race of the 2024 Dayco Super Stock Series was held at Sunset Speedway. Drivers would compete in a fifty-lap contest around Sunset Speedway’s 0.333-mile banked asphalt oval in the Stewart’s and Kubota 50 event.

The pace lap for round four of the 2024 Dayco Super Stock Series, and sixteen competitors line up on Sunset Speedway’s back straight. On the pole is the No. 10C RDJ Auto Sales & Service Chevrolet Camaro of Dennis Cybalski. On the outside of Cybalski is Shawn Chenoweth driving the No. 89C London Recreational Racing Chevrolet Camaro. The Chevrolet Camaros of Carson Nagy and Marlie Owen occupy the second row.
Shawn Chenoweth has shifted his efforts from his Late Model program to his Super Stock campaign. Chenoweth, fourth in the Dayco standings, has spent the last two weekends racing at Sunset and earned a pair of victories. He was the fastest qualifier in round four, driving the No. 89C London Recreational Racing Chevrolet Camaro. Chenoweth started second but grabbed the lead on lap one and went flag-to-flag for the win.
The early season points leader, Carson Nagy, pilots the No. 93 Queenston Chevrolet Buick GMC Chevrolet Camaro. Nagy fell to second in the standings when he finished third at Flamboro. At Sunset, he qualified second fastest and started third after the invert. On lap 2 of the contest, Nagy and Dennis Cybalski had contact, which sent them to the rear of the field for the restart. He charged up the race order and finished second.
Dennis Cybalski delivered the best result of the season at Sunset Speedway. Previously, his top finish was fifth at his home track, Flamboro. During qualifying, Cybalski recorded the fourth fastest time and, after the invert, started on the pole. On lap 2 of the race, he and Carson Nagy had contact in corner two.  The pair were required to restart at the back of the field. Cybalski moved up the lap chart and was third at the checker.
The series points leader heading into round four was Lane Zardo. Zardo drives the No. 36Z Bester Forest Products Ford Mustang and recently joined the APC Late Model tour in Cory McAllister’s Chevrolet Camaro. He was the seventh-fastest qualifier at Sunset Speedway and missed the invert. Zardo struggled all day and never appeared on the top-five leaderboard during the race. He finished sixth and dropped to second in the standings.
The top-three finishers for round four of the 2024 Dayco Super Stock Series. Shawn Chenoweth, the winner of the Stewart’s and Kubota 50, stands in the center.  A rear-end failure at Flamboro hurt Chenoweth’s title aspirations, but the victory moved him to third in the standings – eight markers out of first. On the left is the runner-up, Carson Nagy. Nagy’s result put him atop the points chase. Dennis Cybalski completes the top three.
