This is a 1988 BMW 325i (E30) convertible; however, not much of the original BMW remains—only the window and door frame. The Cam Cocalis creation is a full chrome-moly tube frame chassis with a modified double wishbone suspension for a Chevrolet Corvette C6. Powering the BMW is a Texas Speed-prepared 427-cu.in. LS engine that produces 750 horsepower. The power is transferred to the rear wheels through a Tremec Magnum transmission.
This 1959 Chevrolet Apache could be found on the Toyo Tires Treadpass. The Apaches rolled off the assembly line with a six-cylinder 238-cu.in. engine connected to a three-speed manual transmission. This modern take on the pickup was built by Chris Stafford and is called the ‘Thunder Chief.’ It uses a FloAirRide suspension with QA1 Motorsports adjustable shocks, a modern braking system, a Corvette engine, and Dakota Digital HDX gauges.
Located on the Toyo Tires Treadpass was this 2006 Mercedes-Benz SLR McLaren, which was transformed by John Sarkisyan’s S Klub shop. Powering the Mercedes-Benz SLR McLaren is a 5.4-liter supercharged M155 SLR V8 that produces over 600 horsepower and is equipped with a five-speed 5G-Tronic automatic transmission. The SLR coupe has been fitted with a one-off S Klub widebody kit, a Formula 1-inspired halo, HRE S107 wheels, and, of course, Toyo Proxes Sport tires.
Toyota produced the first-generation Celica from 1970 to 1977. On display at the Toyo Tires Treadpass was a 1976 model originally equipped with a 1.8-liter four-cylinder motor that produces about 125 horsepower. The car on display is fitted with a V12 engine from a Toyota Century limousine and an output of 700 horsepower. To handle the power, it is equipped with an eight-speed transmission from a 2024 Supra. The Celica includes carbon-fiber body modifications and a racing suspension.
This street-legal Honda CRX, built by Gooichi Motors, appeared in Toyo Tires Treadpass. The engine in the CRX is a Honda J32, a 3.2-liter V6 single-overhead-camshaft VTEC design. Two turbochargers are added to the motor. The package is expected to produce approximately 800 horsepower. It has a JAK adapter with a Quaife sequential shifter and an all-wheel drive system for the Honda Element. The Wilwood brakes are mounted inboard. The CRX is fitted with a body kit and finished in a Honda OE colour.
The Autozam AZ-1 was built by Mazda in collaboration with Suzuki and launched in 1992 with a production run until 1994. The tiny Autozam AZ-1 is a rear-wheel-drive two-seater coupe. It is powered by a turbocharged double-overhead-camshaft 657cc three-cylinder engine found in the Suzuki Alto. The model on the Treadpass is a 1994 Autozam M2 1015, which was upgraded by Mazda. Only twenty-five models were manufactured.
