In the EV / Hybrid area was this 1989 Colani Utah 8, an EV conversion by Bisimoto. Team Bisimoto is experienced in many high-performance builds. The car is powered by a 224-kiloWatt (229-horsepower) single-drive custom AC 3-phase induction motor, which is liquid-cooled and has a redline of 18,500 rpm. The vehicle has Ridetech Coilovers with KW Springs. Toyo Proxes R888R Tires are mounted on thirteen-inch BBS E68 Magnesium wheels.
E-Muscle Cars of Denton, Texas, brings old classics back to life with a high-powered EV drivetrain system. All builds are fully customizable with modern suspension, steering, and braking systems. This is Valkyrie Racing’s PXG Polar Porsche. It has been modified to endure the freezing temperatures and extreme environment of Antarctica. Kieron Bradley spent two years developing this 1956 Porsche 356. Innovative features include the skis, tracks, and crevasse bar with solar panels for optimal performance. The Porsche is designed to operate in temperatures from -50 Celsius to +55 Celsius and the harshest terrains.
The Dino EV was among the top 12 finalists in The Battle of the Builders. It was originally powered by a 2419cc double-overhead camshaft V6 and 3x2-bbl Weber 40DCF carburetors. The engine was replaced with a Cascadia Motion IDM 190 motor with 242 kilowatts / 325 horsepower. The car also includes a custom-built 45 kwh water-cooled NCM battery pack. Some of the upgrades include EV digital gauges, a reimagined interior, power steering, brakes, and door locks.
This 1986 Porsche bb-Auto Targa Hybrid is from Galpin Auto Sport. Under the hood is an Ed Pink Racing engine enhanced with Vonnen hybrid technology that delivers 550 horsepower. The Vonnen technology provides rapid bursts of power to the engine and is lighter and more compact than a traditional EV battery. It features a 110-kilowatt electric motor generator positioned between the engine and transmission. To manage heat, Vonnen uses two cooling circuits.
Bisimoto Engineering was founded in 1994 by Ndubisi "Bisi" Ezerioha. The company has produced many interesting projects and the latest is Moby X. Moby X is a tribute to the legendary 1978 Porsche 935/78 'Moby Dick' race car. The base model is a 1977 Porsche 930, which used a 3.0-liter air-cooled turbocharged motor. However, the engine has been replaced with an electric motor. The car weighs 2,700 lbs. and can travel 150 miles on a single charge.
