The Ontario Outlaw Super Late Model Series was formed at the end of the 2017 season by promoters from Peterborough Speedway, Sauble Speedway, Jukasa Motor Speedway, Flamboro Speedway, and Sunset Speedway. They aimed to grow Ontario's fastest full-body stock car shows by ensuring that the Super Late Models are prepared according to a consistent set of rules, there aren't scheduling conflicts, and healthy purses to attract competitors.

This year's championship kicks off in June at Sunset Speedway and ends nine rounds later on October 5 at Flamboro Speedway.

  • June 1 - Sunset Speedway
  • June 15 - Flamboro Speedway
  • June 29 - Sunset Speedway
  • July 6 - Sauble Speedway
  • July 13 - Peterborough Speedway
  • August 13 - Flamboro Speedway (Gold Rush 124)
  • August 16 - Delaware Speedway
  • August 31 - Sunset Speedway
  • September 1 - Sunset Speedway
  • October 5 - Flamboro Speedway

Race six on the tour was to take place at Flamboro Speedway on August 3. However, it was rescheduled to coincide with Flamboro's Gold Rush date.

Flamboro Speedway was offering a total purse of $50,000, with $12,000 going to the winner, based on a twenty-two-car field. As an incentive, $300 tow money was given to teams traveling from the United States or Sault Ste. Marie that registered before July 31.

The Ontario Outlaw Super Late Models are prepared to a minimal set of guidelines. Some requirements include a minimum wheelbase of 102 inches and ten-inch wide steel wheels. The maximum allowable track width is 82 inches. Carburetors are limited to 850 cfm (no fuel injection). There are several engine choices:

  • Cars with a crate engine must weigh no less than 2,600 lbs.
  • Outlaw Super Late Models using a built motor with cast iron heads are required to weigh no less than 2,650 lbs.
  • Vehicles with built motors fitted with aluminum heads have a minimum weight of 2,725 lbs.

Cars are weighed with the driver, and the distribution on the left side must not exceed 60%. All competitors race on Hoosier Tires.

The final round of the Ontario Outlaw Super Late Model Series was held at Flamboro Speedway during the track's Frostoberfest weekend. Drivers competed in a fifty-lap contest around the 1/3-mile semi-banked oval.

Twelve Ontario Outlaw Super Late Model drivers line up on Flamboro Speedway's back straight for the season's final race. On the pole is the No. 84 Cambridge Rigging Chevrolet Camaro of J.R. Fitzpatrick. On the outside of Fitzpatrick is Brandon Passer driving the No. 17 Jenco Equipment Chevrolet powered car. The second row is occupied by the No. 89C Chevrolet of Shawn Chenoweth and Brad Pearsall in the No. 5 AP Racing Engines machine.
J.R. Fitzpatrick was the points leader entering the final round of the Ontario Outlaw Super Late Model series. Fitzpatrick got off to an excellent start when he put the No. 84 Cambridge Rigging Chevrolet Camaro on the pole. His main rival for the title was multi-time class champion Glenn Watson. Watson's pulled off the pace when his car began smoking. With his biggest threat out of the way, Fitzpatrick led flag-to-flag for the win and championship.
Shawn Chenoweth has been busy this season with three cars to choose from: a Super Stock Camaro, a Late Model Camaro, and the No. 89C London Recreational Racing Outlaw Super Late Model. Earlier in the year, his engine expired at Flamboro's Gold Rush 124. Chenoweth thought his season was over; however, repairs were made, and he returned. He qualified third in the finale and passed Brandon Passer for second. Chenoweth finished 0.801 seconds behind the winner.
Finishing third at Flamboro's Ontario Outlaw Super Late Model event was Brandon Passer. Passer started second when the series visited Flamboro for the Gold Rush 124. Unfortunately, he retired at the halfway point of the race. In qualifying for the season's final round, Passer was second fastest in the No. 17 Jenco Equipment car. He lost the position to Shawn Chenoweth early in the race and had to battle with Brad Pearsall for the final spot on the podium.
Brad Pearsall was also entered in the Gold Rush 124. He started and finished eighth, two laps behind the leaders. During the qualifying session at Frostoberfest, Pearsall recorded the fourth-fastest time. Early in the race, he rode around in fourth place, but late in the contest, the driver of the No. 5 AP Racing Engines machine began pressuring Brandon Passer for third. Pearsall made a couple of passing attempts but was in fourth place at the checkered flag.
The top three finishers for the final round of the 2024 Ontario Outlaw Super Late Model Series at Flamboro Speedway's Frostoberfest event. In the center is the race winner is the winner and this year's champion from JR Motorsports, J.R. Fitzpatrick. On the left is the runner-up, Shawn Chenoweth. Chenoweth was the winner at last week's race at Sunset Speedway. Completing the top third is Brandon Passer.
