The highlight of the 31st Annual APC Autumn Colours Classic was the Electric City 167 for Pro Late Models.

Pro Late Models are constructed according to specifications and controls standard to most stock car series. The chassis is a tube frame covered with a fiberglass body. Popular body styles include the Chevrolet Camaro, Chevrolet SS, Ford Mustang, Ford Fusion and Toyota Camry. Depending on the engine choice, a car can weigh as much as 2800 lbs. Unlike the popular APC series, this event allows teams to compete with crate engines or built motors. There are also rules restricting the options for transmissions, ignition components, body material, brakes, etc.

Pro Late Model racers would compete on Canada's Toughest 1/3 Mile in a 167-lap contest called the Electric City 167.

Due to the Electric City 167 length, all competitors were given a break at the halfway point to refuel the cars. They were also allowed to make adjustments but could not change the tires.

The pace lap for the Electric City 167, and as expected, the front row is occupied by Peterborough Speedway regulars. On the pole is the track's 2024 KOD Disposal Late Model champion, Ryan Kimball, in the No. 16 Liuna! Toyota Camry. Sharing the front row with Kimball is the No. 71 JJ Stewart Chrysler sponsored Chevrolet Camaro driven by Dan McHattie. Starting in the third and fourth positions are Dustyn Mombourquette and Dale Shaw.
Andrew Gresel is the 2016 APC United Late Model champion; however, he has made limited appearances in recent years. The team decided late to enter the Electric City 167. Gresel started the race in fifth, driving the No. 81 CUSW Ford Mustang. During the contest's first half, he was an innocent bystander in an incident that sent him into the third-turn wall. He started his charge from the rear, and despite pressure from Ryan Kimball, he grabbed the victory.
Dustin Mombourquette drove the Paul's Auto Body / IHL Ford Mustang and was making his Autumn Colours debut. Mombourquette has a Pro Late Model championship at his home track, Sunset Speedway.   He ended the qualifying session by recording the third fastest time. During the race, Mombourquette bounced around the top five. Minimal adjustments were made to his car during the halfway break. Monbourquette avoided much of the contact to earn a runner-up result.
Peterborough Speedway's Dan McHattie astonished many of the APC United Late Model teams when he dominated round three of the championship. Locals are familiar with the speed of the No. 71 JJ Stewart Chrysler sponsored Chevrolet Camaro, and it came as no surprise that McHattie started the Electric City 167 on the outside of the front row. He led most of the race's first half, but an incident in the second half sent him to the back of the field. McHattie advanced to a third-place result.
This year's KOD Disposal Late Model champion is Ryan Kimball. Kimball pilots the No. 16 Liuna! Toyota Camry. It also came as no surprise that he qualified on the pole. Kimball lost the lead to his regular Dan McHattie early in the race. However, after the break, he jumped back into the lead. On lap 118, Kimball was passed by Andrew Gresel and retired after contact while lapping a slower car.
The No. 10B London Recreational Racing Chevrolet Camaro is driven by two-time Autumn Colours winner Kelly Balson. Balson started the Electric City 167 in the twelfth position; however, he was moved to the rear of the field after his involvement in the race's first caution. Balson began his charge forward, and by the mid-race break, he was in seventh place.   He crossed the finish line in the fourth position, avoiding any further incidents.
Driving the No. 39 Hillsdale Service Centre Chevrolet Camaro was another former Autumn Colours winner, Travis Hallyburton. Halliburton was the sixth fastest in the qualifying session and held the position early in the race. He made contact with a slower car with less than a hundred laps to go. As a result, Hallyburton drove up the track and hit Andrew Gresel. Repairs were made during the halfway break, and Halliburton moved into contention but finished eleventh after encountering issues.
The top three finishers in the Electric City 167 at the 31st Annual APC Autumn Colours Classic. In the center is the winner, Andrew Gresel. Gresel's victory was impressive for a couple of reasons. First, the team has not competed full-time in any series this season and he was involved in an incident early in the event. On the left is the runner-up, Dustin Mombourquette, who was rewarded with a clean drive. The final spot belongs to Dan McHattie.
