In 2021, FEL (Franczak Enterprises Ltd.), an automotive learning and promotion company, expanded its presence in Canadian motorsports.

FEL saw an opportunity to revitalize and reinvest in Canadian car racing. FEL’s foray into the 2017 Toyo Tires F1600 Series as a featured sponsor resulted in fields growing from twelve to fifteen entries to over thirty cars in just three years.

The company is now making its mark in the Touring and Sports Racer categories. The FEL Motorsports Sports Car Championship Canada is for vehicles prepared to GT4, TCR and TCA specifications. Various models of the purpose-built Radical SR3 sports racers compete in the Emzone Radical Cup Canada.

Emzone Radical Cup Canada drivers compete in two contests each race weekend.

  • May 17-19 - Canadian Tire Motorsport Park
  • June 20-23 - Calabogie Motorsport Park
  • July 18-21 - Honda Indy Toronto
  • August 30 - September 1 - Canadian Tire Motorsport Park
  • September 26-29 - Mont-Tremblant

The Emzone Radical Cup Canada series cars are built by the British manufacturer, Radical Sportscars. The company was founded by Mick Hyde and Phil Abbott in 1997. The early vehicles were road legal but were more popular as race cars. The Radicals used in the series are the SR3 model powered by an RPE - Suzuki four-cylinder Double Overhead Camshaft engine with a displacement of 1340-cc, which produces 170-rear wheel horsepower. The chassis is a space frame design with double wishbones, coil springs, adjustable shock absorbers, and roll bars. Stopping the SR3 are four-piston calipers front and rear with vented rotors. The Radicals use cast aluminum wheels fitted with 200/580/R15 tires on the front and 265/605/R16 on the rear.

New for this season is the Masters class for drivers 40-year of age and older. The class has a separate Masters championship

Rounds seven and eight of the 2024 Emzone Radical Cup Canada were held at Canadian Tire Motorsport Park during the Labour Day Sprints. Drivers competed in two forty-minute contests around the ten-turn 2.459-mile road course.

The start of round eight for the 2024 Emzone Radical Cup Canada at Canadian Tire Motorsport Park. The pole-sitter and points leader, Kenny Riedmann, driving the No. 42 Riedmann Management Radical SR3 XX, jumps into the lead. On the outside of Riedmann is the No. 55 Mr. Lube + Tires sponsored Radical SR3 XX of Owen Clarke. Behind the leaders is Mark Boyd, driving the No. 12 Radical SR3 XX and the No. 7 Radical SR3 XX of Chris Styles.
Contact in the season's first race left former Super Bike race Kenny Riedmann well down the standings. Riedmann has worked hard to get into contention. By the end of the Toronto race weekend, the driver of the No. 42 Riedmann Management Radical SR3 XX had topped the points chase. He further solidified his position in rounds seven and eight by starting on the pole in both and going flag-to-flag for six wins on the season.
Daniel Earle, driving the No. 39 Solaris Radical SR3XX, won the Masters' category in the first race of the weekend. This was quite an accomplishment, as Earle spun at the bottom of corner two on the opening lap. On Sunday, it appeared that he may collect his second victory of the event. Earle led most of the race until the closing stages. First, he was passed by Robert Burgess and then Tim Sanderson after spinning in corner ten.
The early season points leader was Owen Clarke, the driver of the No. 55 Mr Lube + Tires Radical SR3 XX. When the series made its third stop at Toronto, Clarke had three victories in four starts. However, Kenny Riedmann has momentum on his side and has proven to be unbeatable lately. In round seven, he followed Riedmann to a runner-up result. In the finale, he was in second place when the car developed an issue and finished third.
Like Kenny Riedmann, Robert   Burgess moved into the points lead for the Masters' division with his performance at Toronto. On Saturday at Canadian Tire Motorsport Park, Burgess started third in class and was never a factor in the race – finishing in the same position he qualified. The next day, Burgess was gridded in the same position. Some aggressive passes late in the contest gave the driver of the No. 2 Power Bus Way Radical SR3 XX the class victory.
Chris Styles's season got off to a slow start. He did not collect his first podium, a third place, until round four at Calabogie Motorsports Park. He earned another podium in Toronto driving the No. 7 Purity Gas Radical SR3 XX. Styles qualified and finished third in race one of the Labour Day Sprints. It appeared that Sunday would be a repeat performance; however, when Owen Clarke encountered an issue, Styles grabbed a second-place result.
