The Strickland's Crate Sprint Cars Series is for open-wheel tube-frame dirt vehicles. These Sprint Cars are powered by spec engines. Teams must use one of two GM Circle Track Crate Engines: part #88869602 or part #19258602. The motors have a Holley carburetor fitted on a 350-cu.in. V8 engine, which produces 350 horsepower @ 5,400 rpm. Power from the engine is transferred through an in-or-out gearbox. As a result, the cars are not equipped with a starter motor and require a push to start.

The chassis rules are simple. They must be a four-post design and cannot use chassis or suspension cockpit adjustable devices. Brakes are limited to steel or aluminum rotors. Spec Hoosier Tires are mounted on eighteen-inch-wide wheels on the right and left rear; wheels must not exceed fifteen inches.

After a race, this competitive package must weigh at least 1,600 pounds (with the driver and no fuel).

The ninth round of the Strickland's Crate Sprint Cars Series was held during the Thunder on the Grand Night One. Drivers would compete in a twenty-lap A-Main.

Thirty Strickland's Crate Sprint Cars enter Ohsweken Speedway's turn three for round nine of the championship. The No. 27 JNE Recovery / Julie Swayze Crate Sprint of Nico Hansen is on the pole. On the outside of Hansen is Brent Stratford driving the No. BS39 Crate Sprint. Behind the leaders in row two are the No. 88 Connell's Construction / Brown Auto Services Crate Sprint of Lance Erskine and Rob Neely in the No. 74 Radioshuttle-sponsored Crate Sprint.
Brent Stratford's 2024 season got off to an excellent start with two runner-up results; however, they were followed by a pair of seventh-place finishes. Before the NASCAR weekend, Stratford got his campaign 'back on track.' The points leader was quickest in his Time Trials group and started second for the A-Main.   He moved the No. BS39 Crate Sprint to the front immediately and went flag-to-flag for the victory.
The No. 74 Radioshuttle / Hot Tub Movers Crate Sprint was piloted by Rob Neely. Neely's season was just the opposite of Brent Stratford's. He was unable to start the first race and finished outside the top ten on three occasions. However, Neely finished the runner-up position in his last race. He was fastest in the second Time Trial group and started the A-Main in fourth. He passed Nico Hansen and Lance Erskine to finish in the second position.
The No. 88 Connell's Construction / Brown Auto Service Crate Sprint driver was Lance Erskine. Erskine grabbed his first Strickland victory of 2024 in the season's third race. During the Time Trials, he was second quickest and was gridded in the third spot for the A-Main. Erskine was unable to hold off a hard-charging Rob Neely. His challenge to retain third came from Brent Begolo and Johnny Miller. Erskine prevailed and earned a third-place result.
Brent Begolo was fourth after twenty laps of the A-Main. At the previous event, Begolo grabbed his second victory of the season. Driving the No. 71 Dynablast / TKC Metal Recycling, he only recorded the fifth-fastest time in qualifying. As a result, Begolo started the feature in the tenth position. He moved up the order during the race and battled with Lance Erskine and Johnny Miller before finishing fourth.
The top three finishers for the Strickland's Crate Sprint Car Series during the Thunder on the Grand Night One at Ohsweken Speedway. In the center is the winner and class points leader, Brett Stratford. With six podium results, of which two were victories, Stratford will be difficult to beat for the title. On the right is the runner-up, Rob Neely, who claimed a win at the previous event. Completing the top three is Lance Erskine.
