The Super Stock category includes a variety of makes and models from the '60s to the current year.
The rules used in the class allow some suspension modifications and changes to the bodies.
Some Super Stock cars retain the original steel bodies with plastic noses and fiberglass hoods;
however, most use fiberglass body panels. They are powered by a modified small-block engines or crate motors from General Motors and Ford.
The division serves as a 'stepping stone' for those drivers who aspire to compete in the Pro Late Model category.
On August 30, Sunset Speedway hosted ‘The Scorcher’, which included Mini Stocks, the APC United Late Model Series, and the Stewart’s Stampede 70 for Super Stocks.
Super Stock competitors raced in a seventy-lap contest around Sunset’s 1/3-mile banked asphalt oval.

Booth had issues at the track’s last major Super Stock event, ‘The Flyin’ Frank 49,’ and finished last.
With the No. 26 Big Bryan & Sons Towing Chevrolet Camaro repaired, Booth qualified fifth.
During the race, he charged through the field for a runner-up result.

Finishing third at the Stewart’s Stampede 70 was Johnny Morrison.
Morrison vacated the driver’s seat at ‘The Flyin’ Frank 49’ in favour of Connor James.
James guided the No. 83 Georgian Chevrolet Buick GMC Chevrolet Camaro to a third-place result.
Morrison got back behind the steering wheel of the Camaro and qualified seventh fastest.
He didn’t appear on the scoreboard until late in the race but challenged Jacob Booth for second.

Chenoweth also competes in the Dayco Super Stock and Ontario Outlaw Super Late Model series. He put the No. 89C London Recreational / Stewart’s Chevrolet Camaro on the pole.
However, Chenoweth was no match for the locals, Paul Pepper, Jacob Booth, and Johnny Morrison, and finished fourth.
