The Canadian Sports Car Club – Ontario Region (CASC-OR) planned on conducting seven amateur road racing weekends during the 2020 season. It appeared that the outbreak of the COVID-19 virus would prevent any events this year. However, track management at Canadian Tire Motorsport Park and Shannonville Motorsport Park, along with the CASC-OR, were able to work with all levels of government to make race weekends possible.

The abbreviated Ontario Region calendar for amateur sports car racers kicked off in July at Canadian Tire Motorsport Park. The series returned to Canadian Tire Motorsport Park at the end of the month for the BARC Canadian Touring Trophy Races. This event was followed by the SMP Summer Challenge at Shannonville Motorsport Park. The season ended with a pair of race weekends at Canadian Tire Motorsport Park, the BEMC Late Summer Trophy Races and the Celebration of Motorsports.
