The Sports Car Club of British Columbia (SCCBC) was founded in 1951. The club’s objectives are to promote motorsports within the Province of British Columbia, organize competitive motor events, foster sportsmanship, encourage safe road conduct and raise the prestige of the sports car. Club events are sanctioned by the Confederation of Autosport Car Clubs.

The club hosts race weekends at the River’s Edge Road Course at Mission Raceway. The track is 1.2-miles in length with nine turns.

In 2015 there were six race weekends that counted towards points for regional titles.

  • May 30-31 - SCCBC May Days Weekend - Mission Raceway Park
  • June 27-28 - SCCBC June Bug Weekend - Mission Raceway Park
  • July 18-19 - SCCBC Racing for the House - RMH Weekend - Mission Raceway Park
  • August 8-9 - SCCBC Hot Summer Days - Mission Raceway Park
  • September 5-6 - SCCBC Can-Am Triple - Mission Raceway Park
  • October 10-11 - SCCBC Turkey Triple - Mission Raceway Park

Championships are contested in the following classes:

CLOSED WHEEL

  • Grand Touring – GT1, GT2, GT3, GTL, GTM, GTO and GTU
  • Improved Production – IP1, IP2, IP3 and IPE
  • B Spec
  • Spec Miata
  • PRO-3

OPEN WHEEL

  • A and B Sports Racer
  • Sports 2000
  • Formula Libre
  • Formula Ford
  • Formula Vee

The event held at Mission Raceway Park on September 5 and 6 was called the Can-Am Triple and included participants and classes from the International Conference of Sports Car Clubs.
